I trained as an electronic notetaker with RNID in 2002 and attained CACDP Level 2 Certificate in Electronic Notetaking for Deaf People, and the CACDP Certificate in Deaf Awareness.  I have now also completed the new Signature/CACDP Level 3  qualification which will enable me to re-register with the National Registers of Communication Professionals working with Deaf and Deafblind People (NRCPD) in 2011.  I hold a current Enhanced Disclosure Scotland certificate and I am covered by Public Indemnity Insurance.

In February 2009 I joined Sign Language Interactions as Electronic Notetaking Development Manager. I am still operating as a notetaker, but am also involved in the development of notetaking in Scotland. Our aim is to ensure that public bodies and organisations use only registered electronic notetakers, which will safeguard the standards of our profession and ensure the highest quality service for clients.
